Once upon a time a quirky little 29 y/o virgin called Seb befriended an older guy who lived by the sea with his family.
Every so often the young man would drive for an hour from the city to a small coastal village to visit the older guy, his wife, and two young children.
The old guy, Giper, was not too sure why the young man made such a constant and regular effort to visit him. He knew that Seb was a profoundly troubled soul. He knew that Seb was lonely, reclusive and fearful of the world. He speculated to himself: "either the young man feels comfortable and safe in our cosy family environment, or ... he wants to fuck my wife". If the former, the poor lad is most welcome. If the latter, well, **** censored ****.
So, Giper did not discourage Seb's frequent pilgrimages to the village. It was an interesting diversion, watching psychopathology in real time. And, besides, Seb always brought choccies and snax and creepy tales about mutual acquaintances back in the city.
Over a period of two years, through observation and casual conversation, Giper came to learn many things about the young man. Secret disquiets and torments. Freakish fetishes. Frightening obsessions. And outlandish delusions.
All this appealed to Giper's love of eccentricity. He knew the boy was disturbed. But he did not realise quite how much Seb had aberrated from the norm. A mistake. A BIG mistake.
